Brochure promoting a "six-cylinder, self-starting skit" produced by The Family. Illustrated cover. The Family is a private club in San Francisco, California, formed in 1901 by newspapermen who left the Bohemian Club after Hearst published a piece presaging the assassination of President McKinley. The club maintains a clubhouse in the City as well as rural property 35 miles to the south in Woodside. An exclusive, invitation only, all-male club, it calls new members "Babies", regular members "Children" and the club president "Father." Masters of Ceremonies for each event listed are named "mother-in-law." Famous members included: Ty Cobb, Henry J. Crocker, Arthur Fiedler, Peter E. Haas, William Randolph Hearst, Herbert Hoover, John J. Pershing Timothy Pflueger, William Saroyan. The announcements for their events are elegantly printed by Grabhorn, Kennedy and other fine printers. .

This is a Very Good Copy of this Book in green card covers with bright and vivid silver title lettering to upper cover and with the Corps crest embossed in silver to the upper cover also.The book has a firm binding with no hinge weakness and there are NO previous names or inscriptions present.Clean copy internally and well illustrated thorughout with many black and white photographs and plates.The King's Royal Rifle Corps was a British Army infantry regiment, originally raised in colonial North America as the Royal Americans, and recruited from American colonists.It was later ranked as the 60th Regiment of Foot, the regiment served for more than 200 years throughout the British Empire. In 1966 the regiment became part of the Royal Green Jackets.Decent copy for the collector 8vo 171pp First Edition. Very Good .
